Oparanozie excited to back in action with Dijon

Super Falcons striker Desire Oparanozie is delighted to start her adventure with French side Dijon on a good note.

Oparanozie was in action for her team in their 2-1 triumph over Servette Chenois in a pre-season game on Wednesday.

The Nigeria international joined the French outfit in June but made her debut for the team on Wednesday.

Oparanozie came into the game as half-second half substituted and she was able to make an impression after coming in.

Lea Declercq netted the opener in the 35th minute to give Dijon a first-half lead before she grabbed the winner of the match five minutes after Rose Lavaud’s 75th-minute equalizer for Servette.

“First 45 minutes after five long months. The great feeling I’m back to doing my favorite thing,” she posted on social media.

Dijon will continue preparation for the new against Yzeure on Saturday and Reims at Phalsbourg on August 16.

Oparanozie will be hoping to hit the ground running quickly for the new season when Dijon open their campaign against ASJ Soyaux on September 5.
