There are certain players you don’t want to tick off and Osaze Odemwingie is one of them, but, it appears Madura United President did not get that memo.
For some reason the Indonesian club’s Boss hoped to score some cheap points off the pitch and picked Odemwingie as target.
Like they say in local parlance “this one hook am for throat.”
Achsanul Qosasi had revealed some things he alleges the 36-year-old Nigeria did or said but, it turns out they were fabricated and the player issued a statement debunking the claims.
But, Odemwingie did not just clear the air he, also took shots and left a future warning for the over zealous Club Prez. No chill.

Dia betul-betul marah terhadap pemain lawan yang memprovokasi dia sejak awal dengan cara tidak fair.
Dia bermaksud mengembalikan DP (down payment/uang muka) yang sudah diberikan Madura United. Dan, dia tidak bersedia (lagi) bermain di Indonesia.

Odemwingie then issued his side of the story:
Not the end of a season we wished for Madura United FCM but a lot to be proud off [sic]. We stayed in contention till the last week and the experience will be valuable for the future. I have been quoted in the press by officials of madura united making negtive comments about Liga1 and PSSE. The club shouldn’t use my name to complain about the league operators becasue we didn’t become champions. We came close so it’s hard to handle the emotions so to an extent is understandable/ Yes few poor decisions from referees ( like it happens everywhere in the world ) we can only complain and speculate about corruption until proven.
I can confirm what HS said about me and the Club looking to agree a contract termination. It is not correct of both President of Madura and HS to give out details of my contract so I will also give out one detail so it’s fair. They want a clause that I can’t sign for any other team in indonesia. We let the dust settle down and hopefully find a sensible win win as HS said.
I hope I will not need to use this medium to clarify things again.
