Osho blames Enyimba’s Pyramid collapse on fatigue

Enyimba FC boss Fatai Osho has blamed his side’s 4-1 collapse in Cairo against Pyramids in the first leg quarter final clash of the Confederation cup on fatigue despite a bright start to the encounter where the People’s Elephants scored in the opening minute.

Osho speaking in a chat gathered by brila.netexpressed regret that his side couldn’t keep the shape and promise shown in the first half of the game with the tie still leveled only to collapse in the second half of the game were they conceded 3 goals. The People’s Elephants will now have to overturn a 4-1 deficit going into the second leg next week in Aba, Nigeria.

“We had our game plan going into the game and we saw a lot of promises in the first half. We even had the chance to go ahead in the first half. The second half we lost it when we started noticing a lot of tiredness, they started playing out of shape, they exposed themselves a lot and the Pyramid team punished us in that area.  We could have been a bit more tidy but a lot of tiredness and a lot of people were not moving and it became a problem, and that informs why we lost this way.”
