Osho hails impressive Enyimba after unlucky defeat in Libya to Ahly Benghazi

Coach of Nigeria’s sole surviving continental representative Enyimba FC Fatai Osho has hailed the People’s Elephants for an impressive display despite losing 1-0 away to Libyan side Ahly Benghazi in the group A CAF Confederation cup clash especially considering the shaky scenario surrounding the build-up to the game.

Osho speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net after the Thursday night clash attributed the inability of the People’s Elephants to rescue the game on ill-luck and the unfortunate red card handed to Timothy Danladi which made the task tougher for the team after conceding towards the end of the first half.

“It was quite an improved performance on our part, we had our work cut out and they really worked so hard. That goal came quite shocking one at that and we tried to see what we can do to rescue the situation. The red card again changed the narratives to some extent and even at that we tried to push to see if we could salvage the situation but unfortunately, we couldn’t.”
