Enyimba FC boss Fatai Osho has stated that he believes the decision to rest players in recent league games played by the People’s Elephants will prove effective ahead of the team’s CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final first leg clash on Sunday with Egyptian side Pyramids FC.
Osho speaking in a chat with brila.net ahead of the crucial tie said while results may not have been good recently in the league, it was imperative he keeps his squad fresh for the Pyramids clash hence the need to tinker with his squad to go through this sequence of games.
“Of late we are not getting the best of results but people should not forget the fact that we are talking of a team that’s been busy since last year. There has never been a rest so we needed to rest those tired legs, the whole eleven players before we played against the Egyptian. And there will be a kind of mixture of that too to play against Pyramids this weekend.”
