Oshoala makes winning return from injury in Barca’s win over Bayern Munich

Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala returned to full fitness, as she featured in Barcelona Ladies 1-0 win against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final clash on Sunday.

Oshoala has missed Barcelona last six games with a hamstring injury and did not feature in the team’s last week 4-0 victory over Real Madrid despite returning to training.

Oshoala was introduced into the game in place of England international Toni Duggan with 25 minutes left on the clock.

Kheira Hamraoui scored the winning goal for Barcelona Ladies in the 62nd minute of the encounter.

Next for the team is a game against Sevilla in a LigaIberdola clash on Wednesday, before facing Bayern Munich for the return leg at the Miniestadi next week Sunday.

The return of the 24-year-old who has scored five goals in five league appearances for the Catalan giants will delight Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby.
