Oshonaike hails ITTF Nigerian Open Success

Nigeria’s table tennis veteran, Funke Oshonaike is delighted with her performance at just concluded 2019 ITTF African Cup in Lagos.

The experienced former African women’s number one player wasstopped in the quater finals by her compatriots Edem Offiong who went on to lose in the semi-final.

Speaking after the championship, Oshonaike said , she’s proud of her showing and hope she can take the momentum into ITTF Nigerian Challenge which kicks off today.

I gave my all at Africa singles cup championship  but I was stopped by my team mate at the quarter finals. I’m so very happy that I played very well.

 

The training really worked. Now it’s  time for ITTF Nigeria open challenge starting from tomorrow in lagos . I hope I can play good there too. I’m proud of me and I’m proud of Edem Offiong for defeating me 4-3. We need this improvement in nigeria .

The ITTF Nigerian open will hold between 7th till 11 of August atteslim Balogun surulere lagos and the Nigerian athletes will hope todo better than their Egyptian rivals this time around.
