Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was on target for Lille in their Coupe de la Ligue victory over Gonfreville at the Stade Oceans, Le Havre on Saturday afternoon.
Lille won the game 2-0 with the former Charleroi forward scoring his team’s second goal of the game with few minutes to the end of the game.
Former Chelsea forward Loic Remy put Lille ahead nine after an hour with a fine finish, but the Christopher Galtier‘s men struggled to finish off the game which led to the introduction of Osimhen from the bench and replaced Luis Araujo.
Osimhen justified the faith of his manager by netting the second goal two minutes into stoppage time and wrapped up a difficult victory.
Osimhen has now scored 15 goals and notvhed four assists in 27 across all competitions for Les Dogues this season.
He’s Nigerian top scorer across the top five league in Europe.
