Lille manager Christopher Galtier has revealed that Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen will be available for selection when the Great Danes trade tackles with Olympique Marseille at the Orange Velodrome on Saturday.
Osimhen recovered from his abductor injury he picked up in Lille’s 3-0 home win against Bordeaux last weekend and was consequently replaced by Loic Remy in the 58th minute.
Although, there have been concerns the 20-year old will spend some time on the treatment table following the injury but Galtier has confirmed that Osimhen has trained well throughout the week.
“Victor (Osimhen) is up and running. He has trained well throughout the week,” Galtier told a news conference on Thursday.
However, the Nigerian international will hope to add to his tally of seven league goals against Andre Villa Boas’ side who lost their last game to Monaco on Wednesday in the Coupe de la Ligue.
Lastly, the news will certainly delight Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr after the striker was included in a list of 23 players for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
