Napoli boss, Gennaro Gattuso has opened up on the recent form of striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has failed to find the back of the net since his return from a shoulder injury that kept him out of action since November 2020.
The €70million summer signing from Lille returned to Napoli’s starting line up in their Coppa Italia second leg against Atalanta on Wednesday, but was replaced after 70 minute.
Napoli went on to loss the tie 3 – 1 and were subsequently knocked out of the competition they won last year.
Speaking on Osimhen’s return from the start and struggles in front of goal, the Napoli Boss said the player is missing his main assets which is pace and strength.
“It’s not easy to be at the top after 94 days off. He’s still missing the sprint, his main skill, but he’s progressing gradually. He can do much more.”
