Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen told Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis about his dream to win the UEFA Champions League.

According to Italian paper, Gazzetta dello Sport, Osimhen had the discussion with De Laurentiis after signing for the Partenopei from Lille in 2020.

“I want to win the Champions League at some point in my career,” Osimhen told De Laurentiis, according to reports.

Napoli is already through to the last 16 of the glamorous competition, where they’ll face Bundelisga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

The first-leg will hold February 21 in Germany, while the return leg will take place seven days later at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The Partenopei are the favorites to progress, with Osimhen one of the players to watch.

The 24-year-old striker has 16 goals in 17 appearances for Napoli in the Serie A.

With his brace against Spezia last Sunday, he becomes the fourth Napoli player to score 16 goals in the first 21 Serie A games after Luis Vinicio in 1955-56, Edinson Cavani in 2012-13 and Gonzalo Higuain in 2015-16.
