Scarlato, 45, added that he has been impressed with the Striker’s ability to adapt and overcome his adversities at the beginning of the season, and reclaim his place in the squad.
“It is normal that when there are six to seven important players in a team, the important voice becomes that of the coach, in this case Spalletti,” Scarlato told Napoli Magazine.
“Osimhen is crucial. I thought that after his injury he would find less space but instead he immediately regained his place, showing everyone his strength.
“He will be key to Napoli winning the Scudetto. In the Champions League group stage, Napoli was the best.”
Osimhen has contributed nine goals in 11 Serie A games for table topping Napoli and the 23-year-old has also been linked with a possible move away from Napoli.
The striker, however, insists he’s committed to the Luciano Spalleti’s side.
