Malu Mpasinkatu said Nigeria international Victor Osimhen is thinking of making history with Napoli, rather than a transfer to bigger side in Europe.
Mpasinkatu, a African football expert commended the forward for his impact on Napoli, insisting that he the talents to become a world beater.
Osimhen has played huge part in Napoli’s fanstatic season, before the FIFA World Cup break.
The 23-year-old Napoli is now a consistent goal poacher for the table topping Partenopei, netting eleven goals in fourteen outings.
Osimhen’s form has attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Mpasinkatu, speaking on TMW Radio as reported by Area Napoli, said, the 23-year-old Napoli is focusing on making history with Napoli and not rumours about his future.
“Whether Osimhen could play in the summer? My feeling is that he is concentrating on making history for Napoli. Then it could depend on the Scudetto factor: if Napoli win it at the end of the year, we’ll see what happens.
“In Naples, he has found his dimension, there is an important African community in Naples and for this reason, he feels at home. If offers beyond any logic arrive at the end of the year they will evaluate.”
The Super Eagles star, teamed up with Napoli in September 2022 for a club record fee of €75m fee and has netted 40 goals for the club, becoming the highest scoring Nigerian in Italian Serie A in the process.
