Victor Osimhen is in a race against time to be fit for Napoli’s Champions League clash with Milan next week.
The striker is currently undergoing treatment for an abdominal injury at Castel volturno today, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Osimhen suffered the injury while on international duty with Nigeria and missed Sunday’s 4-0 loss against AC Milan at the Stadio Maradona.
Napoli confirmed on Tuesday that thew 24-year old underwent therapy in the morning at the club’s training centre in Castel Volturno.
The striker is out of Friday’s game against Lecce at the Stadio Via Del Mare, but will have another test to see if he’ll be available for the Champions League against AC Milan.
The teams clash again in the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-final at San Siro on April 12, and Napoli’s correspondent Massimo Ugolini revealed that the Partenopei will ‘need a miracle’ to have the striker back against the Rossoneri.
