Osimhen receive first career red card in Napoli’s win over Real Sociedad

Victor Osimhen was shown a red card in Napoli’s 1-0 win over Real Sociedad, in their Group F Europa League game, on Thursday.

 

The Super Eagles forward came on as a substitute in the second half of the match with thirty minutes left to play but went on to bag a yellow card in two minutes of added time.

Victor Osimhen also had a goal disallowed, before his night went from bad to worse as he received his first career red card in added time.

 

English referee Craig Pawson shown him the second yellow after he was adjudged to have elbow on Sociedad’s defender Le Normand.

 

The Hitman also featured on Napoli’s previous game in the Europa League last week, but yet to get off the mark on the competition.

 

Meanwhile, Matteo Politano’s goal in the 56th minutes was enough to hand Gennaro Gattuso’s team their first win in the Europa League this season after losing their first game.
