Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne says Victor Osimhen was the game changer for his side against Parma, despite not getting on the score sheet.
Osimhen was introduced in the second half for his debut for Napoli against Parma, the 21-year-old gave a good account of himself and was unlucky to score on his debut.
Osimhen linked up well upfront with Dries Mertens and the Napoli Captain, he created four big chances despite only played for 29 minutes of the encounter.
Insigne and Mertens scored both goals that gave Napoli the win, but the Italian forward credited for his contributions and he added that the team grew in confidence when he came off the bench.
“Surely there were not only positive sides, but we also made some mistakes that we have to evaluate with the coach during the week. In the first half we lacked the right sporting amalice in the offensive phase”.
“We grew as a conviction in the second half, Osimhen’s entry also helped us and we found the way to goal in a few minutes.”
“Victor is an attacker who has great speed, has complementary and different characteristics compared to me and Dries, and can represent a different solution for the attack.
“In some places, he reminds me of Cavani, for his ability to attack the goal and physical strength,” he told the club’s official website.
