Osimhen the SNIPER!!! Nigerian’s Brace hands Napoli routine win

Victor Osimhen was a constant menace and scored twice to give Napoli a comfortable 3-0 victory away at Spezia.

It’s a known fact that Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are among the most dangerous attacking duo in the top five leagues and once again combined to fire Napoli to victory.

Spezia fought very well and defended compactly to keep the scoreline goalless in the first 45 minutes, but Napoli just needed two minutes into the restart of the second half to take the lead.

Napoli were awarded a penalty after Arkadiusz Reca handled in the box. Kvaratskhelia stepped up and converted to give Napoli the lead in the 47th minute.

Moments later Osimhen thought he had scored the second for Napoli, but the referee harshly chalked off the goal for shirt pulling in the race tussle with the Spezia defender for the goal.

However Osimhen wasn’t to be denied in the 68th minute as he headed in to double Napoli’s lead with a great leap above the outstretched hand of Spezia’s goal keeper Bartłomiej Drągowski.

Kvaratskhelia then provided Osimhen with a simple tap-in for the Nigerian’s second in the 73rd minute to give Luciano Spalletti’s team all three points and also extend their lead at the top of the table to 16 points albeit they’ve played one more game than second placed Inter Milan.

Osimhen’s double also moved the Nigerian to 16 goals on the goal scoring chart, four goals more than Ademola Lookman who failed to score when Atalanta lost to Sassuolo yesterday.
