Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen has turned down a surprise approach from Turkish rivals Fenerbahçe, making it clear that a move to the Süper Lig giants is not on his radar.

The Nigerian, currently on loan from Napoli, is set to become one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite Galatasaray’s interest in making his deal permanent, Osimhen is already attracting attention from several elite European clubs.

The 26-year-old has been in blistering form this season, scoring 29 goals and providing six assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

His performances have helped Galatasaray chase a potential domestic double and have elevated his reputation as one of the deadliest forwards in Europe.

Fenerbahçe, managed by José Mourinho, reportedly entered the race with hopes of luring Osimhen away from their Istanbul rivals.

However, Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba revealed via social media that the striker immediately rejected the offer.

“Fenerbahçe involved a big agent to try and convince Victor Osimhen, but all approach was immediately rebuffed,” Laba wrote on X. “It is impossible. There are bigger, better clubs interested. Decision will be made at the end of the season.”

Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli includes a €75 million release clause reportedly only applicable for clubs outside Italy, something that several clubs are prepared to activate once the summer window opens.

While Galatasaray would love to retain him, the striker’s dream remains a move to the Premier League.

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United are all monitoring his situation closely. Elsewhere, Juventus, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid are also reportedly in the mix.

Fenerbahçe may be out of the picture, but Osimhen’s next move promises to be one of the most talked-about transfers of the summer.
