Chelsea legend, Glenn Hoddle acknowledges that Victor Osimhen is a brilliant player, but, not at the level of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Osimhen is one of the most in form players in the world at the moment, alongside Haaland and French star Kylian Mbappe.
Osimhen has been impressive this season, leads in the Serie A for goals with 18 goals, including 2 goals in the UEFA champions League.
Haaland on the other side is also setting the pace in England, leading the scorer’s chart with 23 goals in 26 league matches and 5 goals in 4 UEFA champions league games.
Hoddle, however, described Osimhen as a top player after his performance against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, but insists Haaland is above him at the moment.
“Serie A is not the strongest league at the moment, but I think he’s a decent player and probably going to come to the Premier league and do it here. But, we just going to watch and not get carried away here, he’s not getting numbers close to Haaland and not at the level,
“He is a brilliant player and could become that, he looks on the track but the other teams he’s at, he has blown up there at Lille and other places.
“He’s having a beautiful moment and season that most players have,” He said.
