Otegbeye Ajibade is disappointed to miss a sitter, despite scoring brace on his debut for Nasarawa United.
Otegbeye who joined Nasarawa United in the current transfer window was handed a place in the starting 11 in the 3-3 draw against Heartland FC on Sunday.
The striker gave Nasarawa United the lead, when he converted a spot kick in the 15th minute.
Otegbeye then missed a golden opportunity to restore Nasarawa United, few minutes after Heartland had equalised.
The forward was put through on goal , but failed to hit the target with goal at his mercy. However, he atoned for the error and struck again to to give Nasarawa half time lead.
“I felt bad missing a sitter, but kudos to my teammates, they cheered me up and I was able to convert the next chance. ” He told the media.
“I’m excited to get a brace in the game and we got a point. Actually, we went there for the three points, but it was better not to go home empty handed.”
Next for Otegbeye and his Nasarawa United teammates, is a home game against Gombe United in the NPFL matchday two on Boxing Day.
