French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the summer.
PSG identified the striker as the ideal replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is edging closer to a move to Real Madrid.
Mbappe is in the final year of his contract, and is stalling on an extension further stoking concerns he may be on his way out.
Should the World cup winner leave, PSG could make a move to bring Osimhen back to France.
Napoli values the Nigerian forward at €100 million, and while PSG are more than capable of meeting that valuation, there seems to be real competition from top European sides including Manchester United and Arsenal.
However, Journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported recently that Napoli could do business, if they get a fee of €80 million plus bonuses in the summer.
This comes a day after Gianluca di Marzio had reported that Napoli wouldn’t want to sell the striker for less than €100 million owing to the cost of bringing him in from Lille.
Victor Osimhen arrived Napoli in the summer of 2020, for a fee reportedly worth £65m.
