Anthony Ujah is happy to end his Bundesliga goal drought as he scored in Union Berlin’s last game of the 2019 – 2020 campaign.
The lanky forward scored opened the scoring on 26 minutes to lead his team to a 3-0 comfortable win over visiting Fortuna Dusseldorf at Ground Merkur Spiel-Arena.
The goal is Ujah’s third league goal in his 24th appearances of the season since joining the Flingeraner last summer from Mainz 05.
Ujah who waited for seven months to score against was delighted to end the season on high.
“Perfect ending to the season. Proud of my team.” He wrote on his social media handle.
Meanwhile his compatriot, Abdullahi Suleiman was also on the score sheet for the club as they wrapped up the camping on a positive note.
Ujah made his Super Eagles debut in 2013 and was part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.
He has played just seven games for the three-time African champions.
