Peseiro calls for fair officiating ahead of Eagles and Guinea-Bissau cracker

Jose Peseiro says match officials must be on top of their game as the Super Eagles prepare to take on Guinea-Bissau for the second time in three days.

Peseiro said poor decision from officials in the first-leg cost his team, and mustn’t be repeated.

The Super Eagles will confront the Wild Dogs at the Estadio Septembro 24 later today, with just a point separating both sides in Group A.

Speaking ahead of the game, Peseiro highlighted series of decisions that went against his side.

“In Abuja the referee also denied us two penalties,”Peseiro said.

“The guy who injured Akpoguma also deserved a red card. No one spoke about that. The referee added four minutes additional time when Akpoguma spent around five minutes on the pitch when he was injured.

The gaffer also maintained that his side has enough quality to get their pound of flesh.

“I know we have enough quality to beat them. If we score 10 percent of the chances we created we will win the game.

“I have spoken with my players and will do more today. You cannot create chances without putting the ball into the net.

“We need to play same way but it is important that we convert our chances.”
