Gernot Rohr must ditch players who are struggling for form or dropped some pace at their respective clubs, former Super Eagles winger Tijani Babangida has advised.
Rohr will be expected to submit a provisional World Cup list on 14 May and Babangida argues that current form should take precedent over “pedigree or past glory”.
The former Ajax and Changchun Yatai player was capped 36 times for Nigeria and made hsi world cup debut in 1998.
In an interview with Brila.net ahead of Nigeria’s sixth FIFA World Cup appearance, the 1996 Olympic Gold medalist stressed the need for Rohr to look at other foreign based players who are having a great season.
