Pillars forward Nyima rues Nigeria’s CHAN absence

Kano Pillars and home based Super Eagles forward Nyima Nwangwa has rued Nigeria’s absence from the ongoing Africa Nation’s Championship in Cameroon and have described the feeling as bad knowing that it was a competition that Nigeria failed to qualify for.

Nyima who was part of the team that failed to qualify against Togo during the qualifiers told brila.net that the CHAN without Nigeria is a setback for a number of Nigerian players who would have had fresh opportunity to better their careers respectively with bigger international exposure.

“As a Footballer any competition we fail to qualify for, we actually always feel really bad when the tournament start and right now I have to say I feel really bad that we are not there. We just have to take it easy but I feel really bad that we didn’t make it to the tournament because I feel like it would have been plus for us you know the whole CHAN would have been an opportunity for people to see how good how players are over here.”
