Kano Pillars and D’Tigers player Abdu Yahaya has expressed disappointment over the withdrawal of FIBA Africa Zone 3 champion Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers with days to the commencement of the newly introduced Afro league basketball where the team is billed to feature in the group stage in Morocco.
Yahaya who was recruited by Rivers Hoopers to help fortify the Nigeria League champion expressed disappointment in a chat with www.brila.net for the unfortunate withdrawal of the team due to lack of fund from the state Government.
He revealed that it was hope and expectation dashed for the team and that also automatically terminated his contract with the Porthacourt based side because of his contractual arrangement which was for him to help the team’s continental quest.
