Pinnick coy on NFF’s next move after FIFA orders Compensation for sacked Coach Rohr

The Nigeria Football Federation could appeal FIFA’s ruling on the financial compensation claims by former Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr, FA President Amaju Pinnick has disclosed.

The World football Governing Body ordered the Nigeria FA to pay Rohr, who was dismissed last November, a sum of $377, 879.46 as compensation.

FIFA also gave the NFF 45 days to make the payment or face a possible sanction.

Reacting to the ruling, Pinnick stated that NFF was studying the ruling and a decision will be taking, but did not rule out the possibility of an.

“FIFA declined most of his (Rohr’s) requests and said we should pay him $377, 879.46 because we paid him six months in lieu.

“We are still debating whether to go to CAS and tell them to convert that money we paid him to what FIFA wants us to pay him,” Pinnick was quoted by Punch.

Recall Rohr was sacked last year, despite qualifying Nigeria for the African Cup of Nations and the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
