The President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick insists that Nigeria professional football league players who are good enough for Super Eagles will get their chance.
Pinnick gave the assurance while speaking to the media in Abeokuta Ogun State on Tuesday.
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has been under constant pressure from the media following the absence of the home-based players from his squad.
While giving assurance that Rohr has been saddled to pick the best legs from the local league, Pinnick also warned the media against causing division between the foreign and home-based players.
“The players from abroad are all Nigerians and please don’t try to separate players playing abroad and home, if players in domestic league are doing very well the coach will call, the part of the contract is to go round the country and see the best players, every coach wants to win and they need good players, don’t let us try to separate players playing abroad and here”. The former CAF 1st Vice President said.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr watched the first Abia derby of the season between Enyimba International of Aba and Abia Warriors on Tuesday.
