Plateau United defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi says his team is not afraid of Esperance de Tunis.
Onyebuchi says the team is ready to give everything to ensure they make it to the lucrative group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Fidelis Ilechukwu men will lock horns with Tunisian side Esperance in a two-legged tie for a spot in the group stage of the competition.
The first leg comes up on 9th October, at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja with the return leg slated for Tunis the following week.
“We all know what is at stake at the moment. As a team, we are working hard to ensure that we realized our collective objective. We are very focus and battle-ready for Esperance of Tunisia,” the defender enthused.
“Their pedigree in the competition does not scare us as we are confident of overcoming them here in Abuja and getting another decent result in Tunis to get the job done.”
Plateau United defeated ASO Stade Mandji of Gabon 3-2 on aggregate to qualify for the second round preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League.
