Plateau United ready to fight for 2019 NPFL title – Sikiru Olatunbosun

Plateau United new signing, Sikiru Olatunbosun, Says he’s confident the club can win the Nigeria Professional Football League again with Abdul Maikaba in charge.

Olatunbosun joined Plateau United a few days back after three successful seasons with Lagos based Mountain of Fire Miracle Ministry Football Club.

 

The former CNN goal of the week winner is the latest addition to Abdul Maikaba side after Bernard Ovoke and Godwin Obaje also joined the club in this current transfer window.

 

The left-footed attacking midfielder said he left MFM to seek a new challenge with Plateau United.

 

“It’s a fresh start for me and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I have some great memories with MFM which will linger with me for a long time,”

 

“Now, I’m beginning a new journey with Plateau United, one of the best teams in the country and I will give my best to make it a memorable experience.

 

“There are also a lot of quality players here which is good for the team. As a footballer, you get better by playing with good players and I’m also looking forward to that challenge as well.”

 

On the chances of winning the 2019 Nigeria professional football league title, Olatubosun said the management of the club has worked hard to bring the best talents to reclaim the league title again.

 

“If you look around here, there are a lot of quality and tested players in the team which gives one the confidence that we can do well next season,” he added.

 

“ We just have to continue working hard in training and make sure we are ready for the new season, ” he concluded.
