NPFL side Plateau United has signed eight new players, in a bid to fortify the team ahead of  2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League season which kicks off next month.

According to a release by the Club Media manager, Albert Dakup, the NPFL former champions also terminate the contract of four players,  as well as placing other four on probation.

The statement also read that the new players arrived based on coach Abdul Maikaba recommendations but the four players dropped from the team was as a result of unprofessional conduct, low productivity, gross misconduct, and indiscipline.

Plateau United won the Nigeria professional football league two seasons ago with Kennedy Boboye in charge but could not sustain the standard last season, as they finished the season without a trophy.
