Players Union needs official complaints to act – Popo

Scribe of the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers Austin Popo has stated that the players union can best act when there are official complaints and due correspondence from players as regards protecting their interest at their clubs.

Popo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the union is aware of the agitations of players of Sunshine stars as regards salaries been owed up to four months but are yet to get official correspondence from the players after been asked to do so.
He acknowledged speaking with the Captain of the club Abe Sunday but that through information is needed and officially so as to enable the players union forward the same and pursue such claims with the League Management company.
“I was aware the captain talked to me Abe he now told me they are owing them about four months and I told them that they should write officially and up till now we’ve not gotten any correspondence from them. We need to work with information and present it to the league but unfortunately, we don’t have this information. The rules are very clear they need to write to us so we can write the LMC.”
