NPFL veteran coach and former U23 national team Fatai Amoo has stated that the Point per game used in determining league position of teams in the 2019/2020 NPFL season is an eye-opener to coaches in the league who should be mindful of consistency in performance over the course of a league campaign henceforth so as not to fall casualty of what Lobi stars will have to contend with.
Amoo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the situation of Lobi stars will be painful to any coach but stressed that lessons would have been learnt by the team as well considering that the team had at some point in the course of the season led the league only to lose form on the way which accounted for the drop from top to third but other coaches can learn from such situation on the need to be up their at all time.
“I will feel the pain but I will accept the decision in good fate. Even what they have used, I would have learnt a big lesson by way of not losing whatever lead I have. At a time Lobi was on top and for one reason or the other they lost some games which we know can happen. So I think the lesson is that when the next season will commence, I will make sure as a coach I get my strategy to get all available points.”
