Premier League, Turkish clubs battle for Eagles’ star Ighalo

Coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that Odion Ighalo is in talks with Premier League and Turkish Super Lig teams with a view to a transfer in the January transfer window.

Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have held talks with representatives of the Changchun Yatai striker and at least three Premier League teams are keen on signing him.
”The Chinese League is on winter break, he still has a contract with his club so he cannot play,” said Gernot Rohr.
”He also wants to come back to Europe and he’s trying at the moment to negotiate a new contract in England or Turkey.
”We’ll be watching also.  I hope he can play regularly in a good club like for all other players, they have to be fit, play well and regularly with their clubs.

”He did so well with the national team in the last games. We really hope he will come back very soon.”

Ighalo scored 27 goals for club and country, including six in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers, in competitive matches in 2018.
