Olisa Ndah had the last laugh as his Orlando Pirates side defeated Chippa United 2-1 with international teammate, Stanley Nwabali in goal for the visitors.

Orlando Pirates secured the hard fought win over Chippa United with defender Ndah playing a key role in his team’s win on Wednesday night.

Ndah, who captained Pirates, went head-to-head with Chippa United’s captain Stanley Nwabali in a closely contested encounter.

Both players delivered strong performances, with Nwabali making five crucial saves for his side, while Ndah completed 53 passes and made four clearances for the Buccaneers.

Chippa United took the lead in the 22nd minute through a goal by Jali, but Pirates equalized just before halftime. Tshegofatso Mabasa converted a penalty in first-half stoppage time to level the score.

The decisive moment came in the 91st minute when Monnapule Saleng scored the winner, handing Orlando Pirates a perfect start to their PSL campaign.

With this win, Pirates now sit in fourth place on the league table, while Chippa United are positioned 11th in the 16-team league.
