Coach of NPFL side and Nigeria’s CAF Confederation cup campaigner Enugu Rangers Benedict Ugwu has stated that it was a good thing to see the Flying Antelopes win and qualify to the next stage of the CAF Confederation cup but that his side was handed a real scare which meant having to work extra hard.

Ugwu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said Rangers came up against a very good side in Pelican and had their fitness even tested to cope with the rampaging AS Pelican side before having to dig deeper in the second half to win the game.
“This Pelican they are a good side they know and understand themselves very well.  We train for this match and with our hard work I know that our players are fit because if it was a side that was not fit, this team could have disgraces us.
“I know that our players are fit, they contained us in the first half but I knew they wouldn’t be able to contain us in the second half.”
