Rangers teammate reveals why Calvin Bassey is Unplayable and a Star Potential

Rangers defender Borna Barisic has praised teammate and Nigeria LB Calvin Bassey for the latter’s contribution to the team’s success this season.

Bassey, who joined the first team last season, has quickly rose in prominence and is an integral part of the team this term.

The Young versatile defender has featured in 45 matches across all competitions for the Gers and reached the final of both the Scottish Cup and Europa League this season.

Speaking of Bassey’s development, Barisic said, “He’s my boy! He’s a good guy and a very good player.”

“I think he has improved this season, very well, and he can play both at left-back or centre-back.

“But we know his qualities. He’s very strong and it is very tough to play against him.

“He has the ability but even more important is that he is very calm and down to earth. He is strong mentally and he always wants to learn from everybody and wants to listen.

“I think that is a thing which is even more important than all the ability he has. This is the main reason I think he has a very bright future in football.”

Bassey made his international debut for the Nigeria back in March during the 2022 Fifa World Cup playoffs against Ghana.
