Real Madrid CF are reportedly reserving the iconic number 7 shirt for Chelsea’s talisman Eden Hazard, according to reports from Bernabeu.
Hazard is believed to be the European champions’ top summer transfer target following Ronaldo’s switch to Juve, freeing up further funds and a place in attack.
The 27-year-old Belgium Captain hinted during the World Cup that he will likely move away from West London this summer and, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Los Blancos will now go all out to get their man.
Chelsea and Madrid are well apart in their valuation of the player, but it is suggested that Hazard may play a part by forcing through a move.
Hazard wears the number 10 shirt for Chelsea, which is currently occupied by World Cup star Modric at the Bernabeu, so Madrid will instead issue him with the iconic number seven jersey.
