Remo Stars’ new acquisition Junior Lokosa will be sidelined for the rest of the season with an injury.
The injury is a huge blow the Club’s aspirations of qualifying for the Nigeria Premier Football League Super six.
Lokosa who put pen to paper with the club last month, broke his arm during their matchday 12 tie against El Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.
The former Kano Pillars and Esperance forward has undergo surgery, but he’s not expected to return to action again this season.
The one time cap Super Eagles striker is one of the experience players recruited in the winter transfer by coach Daniel Ogunbodede. Ifeanyi Anaemena is another player who joined after ending his adventure in Saudi Arabia.
Lokosa’s career has stalled since winning the league golden boot at Kano Pillars in 2017, no thanks to different injuries.
He had brief spell with Esperance of Tunisia, Simba FC of Tanzania and Kwara United.
He made just three appearances for Remo Stars and failed to score a goal.
