Revealed – Why Asisat Oshoala left Chinese league to join Barcelona

After two seasons in China with Dalian Quanjian, Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala is on the move again and has joined FC Barcelona Femení- the women’s team of Barcelona.

Oshoala, 24, started her career at Robo FC in Lagos before joining Liverpool Ladies, Arsenal Ladies and tried out her abilities in the Chinese women football league.

The Chinese League ended in October with the new season kicking off in March but for the former Arsenal forward, staying off match practice until that time would have been hampering to her performance in France.

She spent her Christmas and New Year holidays working to remain fit ahead of her move to Barcelona where she could be thrown into action straightaway.

The move to Spain will go a long way in affecting her form and that of the Super Falcons when the World Cup begins in France later in the year.
