A delightful Rinsola Babajide couldn’t contain her joy after another impressive performance, this time on her 50th appearance for the Liverpool Ladies which She marked with a goal and an assist against Lewes on Sunday.
Rinsola set up Danish forward Amalie Grønbæk Thestrup for the opening goal, before scoring the second for the Kops in their 2 – 2 draw against Lewes in the FA Women Soccer League 2 clash.
Although disappointed with not sealing all three points, the striker was glad to reach a half century of appearances for the Reds.
“Disappointing result but on a personal note I’m happy to have marked my 50th Reds appearance with a goal and an assist.”
“Thank you everyone for the support as always I appreciate you all,” she said after the game.
The 22 year-old completed her transfer to Liverpool back in 25 January 2018 and was the Liverpool’s second highest goal scorer in the 2018/19 WSL season.
Rinsola was then Liverpool’s joint-second WSL goalscorer in the 2019/20 season, but the team were relegated last season.
On the international scene, In August 2018, She was part of the England U20s squad that claimed bronze at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Rinsola is still eligible to represent Nigeria at full International level due to her Nigerian roots.
