Rivers skipper Austin apologizes to fans after Adamawa united loss

Rivers united skipper Festus Austin has apologized on behalf of his team after losing to League’s basement team Adamawa United 2-0 in Sunday’s NPFL Matchday 27 fixture and subsequently ending the team’s 8 games unbeaten streak.

Austin speaking in a chat with brila.net after the defeat revealed that the team was left disappointed in themselves on the poor results but can only look forward to making it up elsewhere.

The defeat also ensured that the team missed out on a chance to move to within a point of the top two teams on the league table.
