Rivers United have put the disappointment of last season behind and have started preparations for the next Nigeria Football League campaign.

The former NPL Champions are now in the market to strengthen their squad in a bid to reclaim the title they lost to Enyimba.

One of the players in the radar of Rivers United is Joseph Atule of Lobi Stars.

Atule was impressive in the colors of Lobi Stars last season and many clubs have shown Interest in his services.

Rivers United are now in pole position fór his signature as both sides have reached agreement over his salary.

The deal would see Atule earn around N600,000 per month and he’s entitled to sign on fee.

Rivers United are competing in the CAF Confederation Cup next season and really want to do well.

Stanley Eguma’s side finished third during the Nigeria Premier League Super 6 playoffs last season.
