Rivers united forward Godwin Aguda has stated that the lure of going top of the table is the motivation for the Porthacourt based NPFL side ahead of today’s crucial heavy weight clash with Kano Pillars in the final game of round 6 matches in the ongoing 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Aguda speaking in a chat with brila.net said the CAF Confederation cup campaigner are aware of the task against an equally ambitious side like Kano Pillars and that presents a tough task for his side but the need to boost their chances of being in the front of the queue in the run in for the League title will be good enough to spur them out to go for an outright win.
“We know that we are playing one of the big teams Kano Pillars, it’s going to be a tough game but we are going out because we know how important the game is to us for us to be at the top and for us to be the champion, we just need to win the game. We are in high spirit to come out victorious.”
