Rivers United midfielder Kehinde Adedipe says he’s confident the team will get the better of Rangers in the first game of th NPFL season.
Rangers travel away to the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt this Wednesday, but the visitors will face a stern test against Rivers United.
The hosts resumed the season a month earlier and have played three games in the CAF Confederation Cup, a reason the former Rangers man believes could give his new side an edge.
“It’s not going to be a different game against Rangers on Wednesday because I have played for both teams. For Rivers United playing at home, we expect maximum victory from the team.
“I believe with hardwork, determination and dedication, three points will be ours on Wednesday,” Kehinde Adedipe told Rivers United media.
Rivers United won the last meeting between, thanks to goals from Malachi Ohawume, Wasiu Jimoh and Nelson Esor.
