Rivers united FC boss Stanley Eguma has stated that his side will not be complacent ahead of this weekend’s rescheduled clash against South Africa’s Bloemfontein Celtics in Benin republic.
Eguma speaking in a chat with brila.net warned that while his side have the advantage courtesy of the leading the fist leg, they can’t afford to toy with the fixture and assume qualification unnecessarily moreso now that the game will be played at a neutral venue following Nigeria’s Covid-19 travel restriction on South Africa.
“We cannot say because we have been Bloemfontein 2 goals in South Africa that means it is going to be a walk over. Football is not mathematics and we have to even do more than we have done before because Bloemfontein will be coming like a wounded lion.”
