Leicester City Manager Brendan Rodgers is delighted to have Wilfred Ndidi back from injury.
Ndidi made his return to the team as a second-half substitute in Leicester’s Europa League 1-1 draw against Russian club Spartak Moscow on Thursday night.
Ndidi missed at least seven matches, and the Foxes suffered some heavy defeat in his absence.
Speaking ahead of the Foxes trip to Leeds United, Rodgers reiterated that the midfielder back is very important to his team and he’s happy to have him back.
“He’s very, very important for us, from a defensive perspective,” Rodgers told the club’s official website.
“He covers a lot of space. In those defensive moments, you need that player to get back in. He’s a very, very important player for us and it’s great to have him back.”
Leicester City lost their last Premier League game to Arsenal and they will be aiming to bounce back against struggling Leeds United at the Elland Road on Sunday.
