Super Eagles gaffer, Gernot Rohr has heaped praises of Malmo FF midfielder Innocent Bonke for his outstanding performance against Cape Verde.
Bonke was making his first appearance for three time African Champions in the match and he gave good account of himself.
Bonke played in defensive midfield, a position Wilfred Ndidi has made his own for over five years.
Reacting to Bonke’s impressive performance, Rohr has been watching and monitoring the progress of the player for sometimes and knows what he can do.
The Franco-German tactician also shower praises on another debutants Michael Kingsley and Ejuke Chidera who made his first competitive start for Nigeria.
“The new players have brought in new competition to the first team.We have had Bonke in our scouting team, they did well, we missedharmony in the early moment but they did a good job.” He said.
