Rohr hopes to avoid another injury after Francis Uzoho

Gernot Rohr is hoping to avoid more injuries as the Super Eagles continues preparations for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia.

Goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho had already pulled out of the game, due to illness and has been replaced by Enyimba’s John Noble.

However, 21 players trained under the watchful eyes of the German tactician on Tuesday, but others are expected to arrive later the camp later today.

Speaking to the media, Rohr stated that he’s hoping to have all the players available for selection come Saturday.

I hope that by tomorrow everybody will be here. Osimhen and Ighalo will be here as well as Noble who replaces Uzoho who cannot make it.”

 

We hope that everything will go well without any injuries. Thematch will be on Saturday in a good condition in this beautiful weather and in a good stadium.

The Saturday’s encounter will take place at the Grande Stade de Tanger and Nigeria is the favorite for the three points.

Recall that the Super Eagles won the reversed fixture 2-0 in Lagos, back in September.
