Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo has credited Head Coach Gernot Rohr’s Man Management skills for quelling conflicts that have the potential of derailed the team’s progress.
Ighalo acknowledge the impact of Rohr in keeping a united locker room despite the discord that may have surfaced in recent pasts about players wanting more game time.
The 30 year-old who is likely to led Nigeria’s attack at the 2019 AFCON said, in an interview on the team’s official Youtube page that, “The unity here is second to none because everybody here are matured and we’re aiming for one goal.”
“And if you’re have one goal you have to stick together, be committed and have same focus which I see in the team and the Coach has tried to manage it well with the experienced and young players and even those that are playing much and those that are not playing.
“He has been able to manage and stabilize the team, because some people are doing well in their clubs but do not have the opportunity to play.
“We’re humans and some people will still complain but I think he’s managing it well.”
